Spanish Medical Interpreter (OPI/VRI) – Free Training

About the role

This full‑time remote position involves providing Over‑the‑Phone (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) services for Spanish‑speaking patients and healthcare professionals. You will work from home, using the company’s cloud‑based platform to ensure accurate, confidential, and culturally sensitive medical communication.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret medical information between Spanish and English in real‑time phone and video sessions.
• Follow established medical protocols and privacy guidelines while using company‑provided tools.
• Participate in ongoing, free training to stay current with medical terminology and interpretation standards.
• Maintain scheduling commitments and deliver consistent, high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Fluent/native Spanish and advanced English with clear, professional communication.
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and adherence to professional ethics.
• Reliable internet connection, appropriate headset, and a quiet remote work environment.
• Prior experience in medical interpreting or healthcare settings is preferred; certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong medical terminology knowledge for both Spanish and English.
• Proficiency in simultaneous and over‑the‑phone interpretation in clinical settings.
• Experience translating basic medical documents and patient information.
