Senior Platform Security Engineer (IAM / Authorization) - Remote

About the role

BairesDev, a technology project company with a remote-first team of 4,000+ engineers, is hiring a Senior Platform Security Engineer specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and authorization. You will design, build and maintain high-performance access control systems that secure the core platform, turning complex security policies into scalable technical implementations across a distributed system architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy highly scalable identity and access management solutions across the platform.
• Build and optimize fine-grained authorization systems and access control models.
• Develop shared security libraries, authentication middleware and robust platform tooling.
• Work with engineering teams to integrate secure-by-default API patterns and architectural standards.
• Ensure the reliability, performance and low-latency execution of global authorization services.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in platform security, IAM or related software engineering roles.
• Proven expertise with relationship-based access control (ReBAC) and role-based access control (RBAC) models.
• Hands-on experience with Google Zanzibar-inspired authorization systems such as SpiceDB or Auth0 FGA.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and API-first design principles.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
