Ruby on Rails Tech Lead (Auth0) - Remote

About the role

BairesDev is looking for a hands-on Ruby on Rails Tech Lead working remotely. The Tech Lead owns the team's work, pairs with an internal Staff Engineer to design systems and write specifications, keeps close communication with stakeholders and escalates when needed. The role combines technical leadership with security-first API design, writing technical specifications and managing Auth0 integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the team's work end-to-end, escalating when needed and keeping frequent contact with stakeholders.
• Pair with the internal Staff Engineer to design systems and write technical specifications.
• Build and maintain Ruby on Rails backend services with a security-first, API-first mindset.
• Implement and manage Auth0 integrations.
• Unblock the team and drive delivery at pace.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proven ability to lead teams while remaining a hands-on engineer.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails.
• Experience writing technical specifications with a security-first mindset and API-first design.
• Hands-on experience with Auth0.
