Intake Specialist / Receptionist – Criminal Law

About the role

We are seeking an organized and professional Intake Specialist / Receptionist to support a U.S. criminal defense law firm. The role involves answering incoming calls, managing new leads, and scheduling consultations with attorneys, starting part‑time with potential to become full‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, screen inquiries, and gather case information.
• Determine case eligibility, schedule consultations, and provide courteous client service.
• Enter and organize leads in MyCase, update lead statuses, and follow up via calls and emails.
• Send intake forms, agreements, and track pending documents.
• Maintain accurate client records, intake notes, and assist attorneys with scheduling.

Required profile

• Previous experience in client intake, legal reception, or a similar customer‑facing role.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
• Ability to handle a high volume of inbound calls and confidential information.
• Independent work style with good organization and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MyCase legal case management software.
• Experience using Netlink Voice VoIP phone system.
