Staff Accountant (Remote – Nicaragua)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Staff Accountant to join a growing tax, accounting and business consulting firm that serves auto‑repair shop owners across the United States. This remote position is open exclusively to candidates based in Nicaragua and offers the chance to work directly with firm leadership while managing full‑cycle bookkeeping and tax preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly bookkeeping, account reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Prepare quarterly and annual U.S. income tax returns for auto‑repair shop clients.
• Maintain professional email communication with clients and participate in occasional phone or video calls.
• Ensure a secure home‑office environment that complies with data‑security and confidentiality policies.
• Participate in Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and maintain any required licensing.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on accounting and tax experience in a Staff or Senior Accountant role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Professional‑level bilingual communication in Spanish and English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Secure, dedicated home office; cannot work from public or shared spaces.
