Customer Protection Associate

About the role

Remitly is seeking Customer Protection Associates to deliver personalized, convenient, and secure service while mitigating risk and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role focuses on protecting customers and enhancing their experience.

Key responsibilities

• Review transactions and customer information to identify fraud, AML issues, and sanction matches.
• Make customer‑centric decisions, document actions, and communicate with customers and banks to verify transactions.
• Take inbound and outbound calls for KYC, compliance, and risk mitigation, and support the Customer Service team as needed.
• Identify suspicious patterns, provide timely resolutions, and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1.5 years of stable recent work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to multitask with high accuracy, work under urgency, and handle unconventional hours.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities.
• Proficiency in typing at least 30 wpm.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
