Technical Services Manager

About the role

Our client, an international gold mining company operating across Latin America, is seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead multidisciplinary technical teams in Nicaragua. Reporting to the Vice President of Technical Services, you will shape Life‑of‑Mine strategies, optimise mine plans and support feasibility studies for multiple operating mines and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously optimise integrated Life‑of‑Mine (LOM) plans for several mining operations.
• Coordinate quarterly, monthly and annual mine planning and production schedules.
• Lead mine‑planning, resource‑modelling and technical services teams, ensuring alignment with geology, operations and processing.
• Analyse operational performance through reconciliation and KPI monitoring, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Support feasibility studies, technical evaluations and capital‑allocation decisions.
• Collaborate with exploration teams to integrate drilling results and evaluate new project opportunities.
• Promote high standards of health, safety, environmental performance and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Degree in Mining Engineering; Master’s degree in Mining, Mine Management or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of mining industry experience, including senior leadership in Technical Services or Mine Planning.
• Proven strategic thinking, decision‑making and people‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with mine‑planning software such as Deswik and MineSight.
• Strong background in mine planning, resource estimation, production engineering, LOM planning and feasibility studies.
