Key responsibilities
- Calculate repurchase and cash-and-keep figures, including incidental damages, offsets for use, negative equity and payoff amounts.
- Track every settlement, offer and counter-offer, and flag responses below authorized ranges to the attorney.
- Serve as day-to-day contact with manufacturer representatives and defense counsel on open settlements.
- Follow up on outstanding checks, vehicle surrenders, release drafts and funding timelines, escalating stalled files.
- Coordinate vehicle surrender logistics, including inspection dates, title transfer, lienholder payoff and attorney's fees.
- Explain offers and settlement terms to clients in plain language and obtain signed releases and other documents.
- Review release agreements for accuracy, track checks and fee payments, and confirm lien and loan payoffs.
- Keep case management records current for every settlement milestone.
Required profile
- 2+ years in a law firm, claims or settlement role, preferably consumer or plaintiff-side litigation.
- Experience reading and summarizing financial documents such as purchase contracts, lease agreements and loan payoff statements.
- Strong written communication with clients and opposing counsel; clear, professional English (C1).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently from a home office with stable, high-speed internet and a quiet workspace; availability during U.S. business hours; willingness to use time-tracking software.
- Must live in LATAM; resumes must be in English.
Required skills
- Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas for damages and offset calculations.
- Case management systems such as Filevine or Clio.
- Laptop or desktop with at least 16 GB RAM and an Intel Core i5 or higher.
What we offer
- $8-10 per hour for a full-time 40-hour week, with performance-based bonuses.
- 7 paid days off plus 7 paid holidays.
- Growth opportunities within a fast-growing organization.
