Senior Controller / Strategic Financial Advisor

About the role

Teamswell is seeking an experienced Senior Controller / Strategic Financial Advisor to manage day‑to‑day financial operations and act as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO. The role blends rigorous accounting oversight with high‑level business analysis to drive growth and mitigate risk.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end and year‑end close process, delivering accurate, audit‑ready financial statements.
• Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Build and maintain rolling budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow models that reflect realistic business conditions.
• Partner directly with the CEO on strategic decisions, providing clear financial analysis and actionable insights.
• Identify financial risks, inefficiencies and growth opportunities, proposing concrete solutions.
• Oversee compliance, tax filings and relationships with external accountants, auditors and financial institutions.
• Develop dashboards and reports that give leadership visibility into margins, cash position and unit economics.

Required profile

• 7+ years progressive finance/accounting experience, including controller‑level responsibilities.
• Big‑picture mindset that connects financial data to business strategy.
• Solutions‑first attitude with confidence to challenge leadership when data warrants.
• Strong technical accounting foundation (GAAP, close processes, internal controls) and strategic financial acumen.
• Experience in consumer products, CPG or similar product‑based businesses is a plus.
• Comfortable in a fast‑moving, lean environment.
