Reconciliation Analyst I

About the role

Remitly's Customer Transaction Accounting Program (CTAP) covers the accounting and reconciliation of every customer transaction processed through its systems. As a Reconciliation Analyst on the CTAP Accounting team, reporting to the Reconciliation Supervisor, you will support the month-end close, investigate money movement across Remitly's products, manage curated datasets and key business metrics, and contribute to the company's financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Report on and help maintain daily cash positions and activity across multiple global bank partners
• Perform bank account reconciliations against internal databases and source documents, monitoring money movements to and from bank accounts and partners globally each day
• Combine raw internal and external data into a central database, ensuring data integrity
• Work with Reconciliation, Destination Experience and Treasury teams to keep cash accounts complete and accurate
• Support large projects by analysing account balances and resolving issues
• Recommend and implement process improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years of professional experience in accounting or a related field
• High English fluency and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, and ethical approach to protecting company and customer privacy

Required skills

• NetSuite or similar ERP systems strongly preferred
• SQL, advanced Excel, Power Pivot, Power Query and macros
• Experience reconciling, analysing large data sets and using data management tools
