Medical Billing Specialist – Remote (US Time Zones)

About the role

The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the full billing cycle for healthcare practices, ensuring accurate revenue capture and compliance. This remote position supports operations across U.S. time zones and works closely with clinical and financial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) from claim submission to final reimbursement.
• Track and collect unpaid bills, following up on outstanding claims to maximize revenue.
• Investigate denied claims, identify errors, and resubmit corrected claims.
• Manage claim resubmission tasks, verifying accuracy and implementing necessary corrections.
• Document all billing activities in accordance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in medical billing with exposure to RCM and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Experience handling claim denial management and collections.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work in U.S. time zones (PST, EST, CST).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
