Legal Associate / Paralegal (English‑speaking)

About the role

The US‑based company in Managua is seeking an English‑speaking Attorney to provide essential legal and administrative support for patent filings and compliance processes. The role acts as a bridge between attorneys, clients, and regulatory bodies, helping to keep legal operations efficient and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and filing patent applications and related legal correspondence.
• Monitor filing deadlines and ensure procedural compliance.
• Support attorneys and senior paralegals in client communications and routine requests.
• Maintain and update records in the patent management system.
• Conduct legal research for complex cases and patent‑related matters.
• Prepare IP reports such as Portfolio Health Reports, Jurisdictional Analyses, and Monthly Docket Reports.
• Help prepare meeting materials and distribute summaries of action items.
• Review and process invoices from vendors and coordinate with external legal service providers.

Required profile

• Experience as a legal associate or paralegal.
• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate (NALA / ABA preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, superior work ethic, and self‑motivation.
• Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills in English.
