Human Resources Manager – Nicaragua

About the role

DHL Express is seeking a senior HR professional to lead the Human Resources function for its operations in Nicaragua. Reporting to senior business leaders, the HR Manager will act as a trusted advisor, aligning people strategies with the company’s growth objectives while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Build, organize and develop the local HR team covering talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, learning & development, employee engagement, HR administration and change management.
• Manage the HR budget, balancing strategic initiatives with day‑to‑day operational needs.
• Design, implement and communicate HR policies and procedures that meet Nicaraguan labor laws and best‑practice standards.
• Represent DHL before labor authorities, trade unions and workers’ associations.
• Provide coaching and consultancy to managers on performance management, employee relations and talent development.
• Lead compliance activities, including training, communication campaigns, audits and investigations.

Required profile

• University degree in Human Resources or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong expertise in employee engagement, labor relations and health & safety.
• Fluent in English and native Spanish speaker.
• Proven leadership in a matrix environment, data‑driven decision making and a champion for diversity & inclusion.
• Excellent negotiation, active listening and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
