Front Desk Receptionist - Sleep Medicine

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Front Desk Receptionist to support a busy Sleep Medicine practice. The role combines patient interaction, insurance authorizations and administrative coordination, ensuring a smooth experience from referral to follow‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain prior authorizations and verify patient eligibility through insurance payer portals.
• Educate patients referred for sleep apnea treatment about the process and answer care‑related questions.
• Handle high‑volume inbound and outbound calls with professional customer service.
• Assist with patient communications, administrative coordination, and recall campaigns.
• Coordinate with the in‑office team to ensure seamless scheduling and follow‑up handoffs.
• Document interactions and manage communications using Restful EMR and Weave VoIP.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of medical office experience in Sleep Medicine, Pulmonology, ENT or Neurology.
• Hands‑on experience with insurance verifications and authorization processes.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume patient calls with clear, professional communication.
• Comfortable educating patients on clinical processes and setting expectations after physician referrals.
• Experience with Restful EMR and Weave VoIP platforms is strongly preferred.

What we offer

• Full‑time contractor position (40 hours per week).
• Starting pay rate of $6 per hour, dependent on skill set and experience.
• Monday‑Friday schedule aligned with EST time zone.
