Electricista – Mantenimiento de Planta

About the role

Gildan is seeking an experienced electrician to ensure the reliable operation of electrical equipment in its manufacturing plant. The role involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and execution of electrical projects while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain optimal functioning of plant electrical systems.
• Perform cleaning, measurements, and corrective work on electrical panels, substations, ducts, outlets, and lighting according to the maintenance schedule.
• Conduct weekly audits and maintenance of emergency lighting.
• Maintain and repair the plant sound system, replace ballasts and lighting tubes.
• Monitor the operation of water pumps, diesel pumps, and blowers.
• Keep accurate maintenance records for all electrical equipment.
• Request necessary tools and materials to complete tasks.
• Execute plant‑specific electrical projects as required.
• Comply with the company’s health and safety management system (CAM‑HSN‑001).
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in Industrial Electricity.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Basic knowledge of industrial safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
