About the role

The company seeks a qualified accountant to control and manage accounting procedures, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements for Corporación Cefa de Nicaragua, S.A. The role involves month‑end closings, audit support, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process month‑end templates and close the books.
• Provide information and support for external audits.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and prepare intercompany AP statements.
• Send petty‑cash data to the CSC and confirm accounting codes for purchase orders.
• Prepare purchase and cost‑adjustment auxiliaries on demand.
• Consolidate inventory against the general ledger each month.
• Prepare monthly journals and ledgers using trial‑balance data.
• Handle quarterly reporting requirements for the Central Bank of Nicaragua.
• Request monthly reversals of provisional accounting entries.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety, storage, distribution, and transport practices.
• Follow the company’s code of conduct, internal regulations, and any assignments from management.

Required profile

• Degree in Public Accounting and Auditing.
• Experience in managing accounting records and performing reconciliations.
• Ability to work with multiple internal stakeholders and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel, including pivot tables.
• Working knowledge of Oracle accounting modules.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and internal control.
• Familiarity with Nicaraguan GAAP (PCGA) and regulatory reporting.
