Cafeteria Manager

About the role

Keiser University LAC is seeking an experienced, organized, and results‑oriented Cafeteria Manager to oversee daily operations of the university cafeteria, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, efficiency, and service.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all cafeteria operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
• Lead, train, and evaluate cafeteria personnel, promoting teamwork and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and occupational health regulations.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, suppliers, and food costs while maintaining budgetary control.
• Develop and implement menus, portion controls, and quality standards.
• Monitor food preparation, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare operational reports, budgets, and performance indicators.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing cafeterias, restaurants, or institutional dining services.
• Proven experience supervising personnel and managing daily operations.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, inventory management, and cost control.
• Experience in budgeting, purchasing, and supplier negotiations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
