About the role

The Emmanuel Home of Protection is seeking a dedicated Director to lead its operations in Diriamba, Nicaragua. This missionary‑focused position ensures the safety, well‑being, and holistic development of the girls living in the home.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with national staff to meet the physical, spiritual, educational, and psychological needs of each resident.
• Design and implement strategies that prepare residents for success within their cultural context.
• Partner with national staff and BMDMI administration to create and monitor a realistic budget.
• Maintain regular communication with donors and sponsors supporting the girls.
• Plan and coordinate activities for visiting short‑term mission teams.
• Oversee maintenance and construction projects as required.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to the field director and BMDMI administration.

Required profile

• Fluency in Spanish or willingness to undertake formal language training upon arrival.
• Training or proven experience caring for children who have experienced trauma.
