Principal Python Engineer (Remote)

About the role

As a Principal Python Engineer you will own the design, development, and deployment of backend APIs and services that power a high‑traffic product used by millions of collectors. This hands‑on role gives you full ownership from concept to production, shaping how customers interact with both web and mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build backend services on AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Own complete features end‑to‑end, from design through deployment.
• Create APIs consumed by web and mobile applications.
• Implement infrastructure as code for repeatable deployments.
• Architect microservices and event‑driven systems that scale with demand.
• Design data models using PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS Serverless services (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway).
• Background working with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Proven ability to design microservices and event‑driven architectures.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
