Supervisor de Producción

About the role

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to plan, organize, facilitate and control production and quality within assigned teams at Gildan, a leading apparel manufacturer. The role ensures teamwork, safety and compliance with company standards in a fast‑paced textile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety norms and procedures, including proper use of PPE and ergonomic practices.
• Report daily absenteeism to the Production Coordinator and maintain attendance records for operators.
• Schedule overtime staff from opposite shifts for planned permits.
• Conduct daily team meetings to review absenteeism, safety, quality metrics and production targets.
• Monitor low‑efficiency teams and resolve issues related to quality, efficiency, methods and discipline.
• Control production inventory for assigned teams.
• Verify correct payroll for operators and distribute food vouchers on the first shift day.
• Maintain lot integrity based on raw‑material receipt, optimize material usage and close orders on time.
• Perform shift hand‑over according to established procedures.
• Comply with the Safety and Health Management System as defined in document CAM‑HSN‑001.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum high‑school diploma (Bachiller).
• At least one year of experience in a similar supervisory role or as an instructor in the textile manufacturing sector.
• Strong personnel management abilities, adaptability and teamwork orientation.
