SQL Server Database Architect - Remote Work

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a senior SQL Server Database Architect to redesign and modernize a critical internal application. You will work remotely alongside .NET and Blazor developers, transforming a legacy stored‑procedure‑heavy architecture into a configurable, high‑performance data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, high‑performance SQL Server databases.
• Refactor existing stored procedures into modular, code‑based logic.
• Develop a table‑driven rules engine to centralize sizing and configuration logic.
• Collaborate with .NET and Blazor teams to improve backend integration.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance best practices.
• Plan and support migration from on‑premises SQL Server to Azure SQL services.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in database architecture or engineering.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server and performance tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with C#/.NET development.
• Experience working with Blazor for front‑end/back‑end integration.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
