Spanish Medical Interpreter (Full-Time Remote)

About the role

Grupo Noa International is a virtual call center serving the international direct response industry, working in a multilingual environment with English, Spanish and many other languages. It handles inbound customer service, outbound lead generation and upselling across more than 29 countries. This full-time remote position as a Spanish Medical Interpreter provides accurate and confidential interpretation between Spanish and English for patients, healthcare providers and related stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate clear, culturally sensitive communication during medical consultations, procedures and follow-up calls.
• Listen carefully to speakers and interpret spoken language in real time.
• Provide sight translation of medical documents or instructions when needed.
• Adhere to professional ethics, including privacy and confidentiality standards, and comply with organizational and healthcare guidelines.
• Collaborate with call center teams, follow established workflows and use call center systems to document interactions.

Required profile

• Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent listening and speaking skills in both.
• Prior experience as a medical interpreter, in healthcare call centers or in clinical settings is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of patient confidentiality standards and compliance with HIPAA or similar regulations.
• Strong customer service skills, professional telephone etiquette and the ability to stay calm in sensitive situations.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, private workspace suitable for remote interpretation.
• A relevant certification in medical interpreting or formal training in healthcare communication is a plus.
