Solution Architect – Data Integration (6‑month contract)

About the role

Applaudo is seeking a Solution Architect to bridge finance and engineering by translating a complex subscription billing model into actionable data requirements for the integration team. The role focuses on guiding stakeholders through the migration from a legacy accounting system to Zuora, interpreting Zuora’s data model and billing logic, and maintaining communication during a planned hand‑over period. This is a six‑month contract position with possible extension.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Zuora’s billing model into data requirements for the integration team.
• Lead business analysis for custom billing rules, revenue recognition, and reporting not covered by Zuora professional services.
• Guide finance and business stakeholders through the transformation from legacy accounting to Zuora.
• Interpret Zuora’s data model and billing logic to unblock the integration team, acting as a partial platform advisor.
• Facilitate decision‑making and trade‑off discussions with the controller and finance stakeholders.
• Maintain stakeholder communication and technical context continuity during the hand‑over period.

Required profile

• Proven business analysis experience across finance and technical domains, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Strong subscription and billing domain expertise covering recurring revenue, invoicing, and payment lifecycle.
• Data literacy with ability to read pipeline logic and validate data flows.
• Prior experience with ERP or accounting system migration or transformation.
• Advanced English fluency for direct collaboration with a US‑based finance team.

Required skills

• Zuora platform knowledge (billing, revenue, CPQ modules).
• Google Cloud Platform tools such as BigQuery, Looker, and Data Studio.
• Familiarity with change‑management frameworks (ADKAR, Kotter).
