About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Health Tech, you will lead the design and implementation of secure, high‑performance backend systems that handle sensitive patient data. You will work remotely with a global team of top‑tier engineers, ensuring compliance with strict healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop high‑performance backend services that meet HIPAA compliance and PHI handling standards.
• Design, implement, and maintain integrations with major EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth, and Canvas Medical.
• Build interoperability solutions using HL7 and FHIR standards for efficient medical data exchange.
• Create comprehensive audit‑logging and monitoring frameworks to ensure system transparency and security.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate healthcare requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Promote best practices for data privacy and security throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on health‑tech applications.
• Proven track record building HIPAA‑compliant systems and handling PHI.
• Hands‑on experience with EHR integrations (Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth, Canvas Medical).
• Strong knowledge of HL7/FHIR standards and audit‑logging mechanisms.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
