Senior Platform Security Engineer – IAM & Authorization (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Platform Security Engineer specialized in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Authorization to design, build, and maintain high‑performance access control systems for our global platform. You will translate complex security policies into scalable technical solutions that keep our services secure and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy highly scalable IAM solutions across the platform.
• Build and optimise fine‑grained authorization models, including ReBAC and RBAC.
• Develop shared security libraries, authentication middleware, and platform tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate secure‑by‑default API patterns and architectural standards.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and low‑latency execution of global authorization services.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in platform security, IAM, or related software engineering roles.
• Proven expertise with Relationship‑Based Access Control (ReBAC) and Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) models.
• Hands‑on experience with Google Zanzibar‑inspired systems such as SpiceDB or Auth0 FGA.
• Strong background in building core platform tooling, auth middleware, and shared security libraries.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and API‑first design principles.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
