Senior Business Analyst – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

Bluelight, a fast‑growing software consultancy, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to translate complex business problems into clear, buildable requirements. Working remotely across Latin America, you will bridge clients, product teams, and engineers on a mix of client projects and internal products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops to capture goals, workflows, and pain points.
• Document current‑state and future‑state processes, business rules, data definitions and edge cases.
• Break project scope into epics and user stories for accurate engineering estimates.
• Write clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria in Jira and partner with the Product Manager to groom the backlog.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers in Figma to ensure designs match requirements and flag gaps early.
• Answer engineering questions during sprints, keep requirements up‑to‑date, and support QA test coverage.
• Coordinate sprint demos, user acceptance testing, and maintain organized documentation in Google Drive.
• Capture compliance, security and audit requirements (including SOC 2) as explicit requirements.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst or similar on software projects.
• Proven ability to run discovery sessions and turn ambiguous input into structured requirements.
• Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Comfort with process mapping, data modeling and business‑level understanding of APIs, integrations and databases.
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to lead meetings with U.S. stakeholders.
