Senior Asset Liability Management Consultant

About the role

IDB Invest is seeking a proactive Senior Consultant to lead Asset Liability Management (ALM) activities within its Treasury Division. The role focuses on balance‑sheet management, market and liquidity risk, funds transfer pricing and capital management to support the institution’s ambitious growth plan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or co‑lead projects to enhance the balance‑sheet management framework, including ALM, capital management and funds transfer pricing.
• Secure stakeholder alignment and obtain institutional approvals for major initiatives.
• Act as technical lead in cross‑functional working groups, shaping strategic discussions on ALM and overall balance‑sheet management.
• Support implementation and enhancement of Treasury and ALM systems, data processes, governance documentation, policies and reporting.
• Perform analysis and monitoring of balance‑sheet risks such as interest‑rate, liquidity, foreign‑exchange and earnings sensitivity.
• Conduct IRRBB analyses, scenario testing, stress testing and other quantitative assessments to inform strategy.
• Maintain and improve the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework, related methodologies and analytical processes.
• Develop and maintain quantitative models, analytical tools, dashboards and automation solutions.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in treasury, ALM, risk management or related financial functions.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and obtain consensus from senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency, scalability and long‑term sustainability.
• Excellent communication skills to represent Treasury ALM in strategic discussions.
