Residential Draftsman (Revit) – Remote, $9/hr

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Residential Draftsman with experience creating construction drawings for residential projects. You will work closely with the Architectural Design and Drafting Manager to prepare accurate construction documents, permit sets, and panel fabrication drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update 3D concept drawings and detailed floor plans.
• Assist with construction documents and permit submittal packages.
• Produce detailed drawings for panelized residential projects, including framing layouts, panel elevations, sections, and connection details.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, production teams, and field teams.
• Prepare permit drawings and revise them based on jurisdiction feedback.
• Maintain organized drawing files and standards while identifying potential construction or design issues before release.

Required profile

• Experience with residential drafting or residential construction.
• Proficiency in Revit (required) and ability to learn quickly.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or SketchUp.
• Good understanding of residential wood framing, structural systems, IRC and local building code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Good English communication skills and availability to work during U.S. business hours.
