Quality Monitor – Masaya, Nicaragua

About the role

Cargill is seeking a Quality Monitor to join its protein and salt business in Masaya, Nicaragua. The role supports food safety and quality assurance through inspections, data analysis, and documentation, ensuring that products meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect finished products and raw materials to detect trends in defects or errors, supporting more complex testing under supervision.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to new team members.
• Review HACCP documentation and other food safety/quality records.
• Assist in audits and shelf‑life projects by conducting tests, preparing reports, and summarising findings.
• Manage customer complaints, ensuring corrective actions and preventive measures are implemented.
• Handle moderately complex administrative, technical, or customer‑service issues, escalating higher‑complexity problems as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical qualification in Quality or as a Quality Inspector.
• At least two years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially intermediate Excel.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time‑management and organizational abilities.
