Preconstruction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced construction professional to lead the pre‑construction phase for a client. The Preconstruction Manager will own the front‑end of the bidding process, reviewing construction documents, preparing material takeoffs, building estimates and delivering competitive bids.

Key responsibilities

• Review construction documents, perform material takeoffs and develop detailed project estimates.
• Manage bid deadlines, RFIs, addenda, proposals and submission requirements while coordinating with sales and purchasing teams.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating or bid management within the construction industry.
• Proven experience with U.S. construction processes, standards and project workflows.
• Strong written communication for client‑facing proposals and excellent organization skills.

Required skills

• Material takeoff and estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Togal).
• Advanced Excel for accurate and traceable estimating data.
• Construction drawing interpretation and specification analysis.
