About the role

The Quality Monitor will support Cargill’s protein and salt business in Nicaragua by ensuring food safety and quality standards are met. The role involves documenting test processes, analysing data, and facilitating knowledge transfer across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect finished products and raw materials to detect trends in defects or errors, supporting more complex tests under intermediate supervision.
• Provide training, coaching and mentorship to new team members.
• Review HACCP documentation and other food quality and safety records.
• Assist in audits and shelf‑life projects by conducting tests, preparing reports and summarising findings.
• Manage customer complaints, ensuring corrective actions and preventive measures are implemented.
• Handle moderately complex administrative, technical or customer‑service issues under general supervision, escalating higher‑complexity matters as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical qualification in Quality or as a Quality Inspector.
• Minimum two years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate Excel.
• Current studies in Industrial Engineering or a related field are a plus.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
