Medical Virtual Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Medical Virtual Assistant to provide remote support to patients and healthcare providers. The role involves handling inbound calls, managing patient information, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming patient calls and provide assistance.
• Verify insurance details and update patient records.
• Manage referrals, fax communications, and medical records.
• Explain insurance benefits to patients.
• Coordinate with providers and clinical staff.
• Perform administrative and data‑entry tasks.
• Maintain HIPAA‑compliant practices at all times.

Required profile

• Fluent English communication skills.
• Experience as a medical receptionist or virtual assistant (preferred).
• Strong phone etiquette, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Reliable computer and high‑speed internet connection.
• Willingness to use Time Doctor and a HIPAA‑compliant virtual desktop.

Required skills

• EHR/EMR system experience.

What we offer

• Starting pay of $5 per hour for the first 90 days, increasing to $6 per hour thereafter.
• Bi‑weekly payment via Wise.
