IT Support Specialist (L1) – Remote

About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist (L1) to deliver first‑line technical assistance in a Windows‑based, on‑premises environment. The role is fully remote and focuses on helping end users with desktop, printer, software, and network issues while following documented procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktop computers, printers, and software applications.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and groups using Active Directory.
• Support and troubleshoot Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) systems.
• Assist with QuickBooks‑related IT issues and general functionality.
• Resolve LAN/WAN networking problems, including routers and firewalls.
• Offer end‑user support for Microsoft Windows and Office products.
• Handle support tickets efficiently, prioritising by urgency and impact.
• Work with telephone service providers and manage VoIP systems (preferred).
• Provide assistance in VPN, NOC, and other networked environments.
• Communicate clearly in written and verbal English.

Required profile

• Experience supporting QuickBooks in an IT context.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and MFA.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking hardware.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and the Office suite.
• Professional‑level English communication skills.
• Previous client‑facing IT support experience.
