Gerente Senior de Operaciones

About the role

World Vision is seeking a senior leader to drive the implementation of its Operations model across Nicaragua. The role will align local activities with the global strategy, strengthen partnerships, and ensure the organization remains a preferred development partner in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the rollout of World Vision’s operations delivery model, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and compliance with national and global guidelines.
• Maintain and enhance relationships with donors, partners, regional offices, and other stakeholders through continuous dialogue and accountability.
• Oversee adherence to sponsorship standards and promote sustainable, impact‑driven actions.
• Guide strategic planning, business continuity, and crisis management initiatives.
• Support evidence‑based decision‑making and reporting on program outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Humanities, or Social Sciences.
• Master’s degree in Social Project Management, Local Development Management, Program & Project Management, Social Policies, Human Rights, or Children’s Rights.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and negotiation capabilities.
• Proven ability to influence decisions that benefit vulnerable children.
• Experience managing program and project cycles, with a results‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
