About the role

The Inventory Management Specialist ensures timely replenishment of merchandise across business units such as stores, distribution centers and plants. The role focuses on maintaining adequate stock levels, analyzing trends, and collaborating with suppliers and commercial teams to meet inventory targets while managing risks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovation projects to improve the supply chain (Walmart/CEDIS and plant) together with business partners.
• Plan and monitor delivery times for assigned items across different distribution channels to guarantee on‑time supply and target inventory days.
• Perform trend and price history analyses to anticipate situations that could affect inventory flow.
• Conduct comparative analyses between automatically generated and manual orders versus departmental needs to maintain assigned supply levels.
• Control replenishment system variables (demand, lead times, inventory levels) to ensure store and distribution center stock targets.
• Support budget execution for assigned categories by aligning purchase orders with business requirements.
• Coordinate with category managers and buyers on timing and quantities for commercial activities, considering demand, cannibalization, and logistics capacity.
• Establish logistics agreements with suppliers and plants (S&OP) through weekly meetings to review demand, promotions, production plans, and market risks.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret inventory trends and demand patterns.
• Experience in supply chain or inventory planning within retail or distribution environments.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, buyers, and commercial teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
