Data Integration Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Data Integration Engineer to design, build and maintain reliable ETL pipelines that move billing data from Zuora REST APIs into our GCP‑based data warehouse. The role requires hands‑on development using TypeScript/Node.js and Python, and close collaboration with a distributed, async‑first team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate ETL pipelines that extract, transform and load billing events, subscriptions, invoices and payments from Zuora into BigQuery.
• Implement integration components with TypeScript/Node.js and Python, handling OAuth 2.0, pagination, error handling and retry logic.
• Design transformation logic and data‑quality validations using GCP services such as Dataflow, Pub/Sub and Cloud Storage.
• Write complex SQL validation queries to ensure data parity between source systems and warehouse tables.
• Monitor pipelines, set up alerts, investigate failures and provide clear written updates to the team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or integration development.
• Production experience building ETL pipelines with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong Python background for data‑pipeline development.
• Hands‑on experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub.
• Experience integrating REST APIs using OAuth 2.0, pagination and retry mechanisms.
• Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with complex data‑warehouse schemas.
