Civil Designer – Land Development & Public Works

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to lead the design of complex land development and public works projects. The role involves creating detailed engineering plans, overseeing surveys, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations while working fully remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage civil engineering projects for land development, public works, site infrastructure, and utilities.
• Produce grading, drainage, roadway, and utility plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and related software.
• Conduct and supervise land surveys, interpreting topographic and boundary data.
• Prepare stormwater, hydraulic, and hydrology calculations, including detention ponds and erosion control.
• Review survey reports, maps, and legal land descriptions to ensure design accuracy.
• Provide technical guidance on feasibility, cost‑effective solutions, and regulatory compliance.
• Update “as‑built” and redline drawings with necessary revisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, storm utility, water and sewer utility plans (including drawing interpretation).
• Understanding of zoning laws, environmental regulations, and permitting processes.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project management abilities.
