Accounting Associate – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Accounting Associate to join our remote LATAM team. The role focuses on journal entry processing, reconciliations and supporting the month‑end close for U.S.-based clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post payroll journal entries (weekly, bi‑weekly, bonus) and reconcile payroll registers to the general ledger.
• Record revenue journal entries from weekly billing cycles and reconcile the AR sub‑ledger to the GL.
• Reconcile cash receipts and payment‑processor deposits to AR and the GL.
• Create intercompany and other adjusting journal entries with supporting schedules for controller review.
• Maintain a log of open reconciling items, track resolutions and escalate unexplained variances.
• Ensure all entries are posted by the close calendar due date and deliver review‑ready packages.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with solid knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations and month‑end close support.
• Direct exposure to payroll accounting and revenue/AR reconciliation.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online (mandatory).
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFS).
