Staff Accountant

About the role

The Staff Accountant will join the client’s finance team as a fully embedded professional, handling end‑to‑end accounting workstreams across multiple entities. This position requires strong judgment, ERP fluency, and advanced analytical tool skills to ensure accurate, timely financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle AP, AR, and cash processing for assigned clients, handling high volumes of invoices, payments, and bank transactions.
• Identify and resolve coding errors, duplicate entries, and process gaps proactively.
• Perform complete bank reconciliations and maintain clean AP/AR aging and cash position reports.
• Prepare and post recurring and non‑recurring journal entries, including depreciation, amortization, accruals, intercompany eliminations, and reclassifications.
• Execute month‑end close tasks within client‑defined deadlines, supporting tight Day 1 close requirements.
• Build and maintain operational reports in Excel (pivot tables, dynamic dashboards, XLOOKUP, Power Query) and develop Power BI dashboards for financial visibility.
• Extract, transform, and load data from ERP exports into structured Excel or BI models.
• Operate independently in client ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and navigate AP automation tools (Yooz, Procurify, Bill.com, Ramp, Concur).

Required profile

• Experience in rigorous accounting environments such as Big 4 audit, regional audit firms, or client‑facing financial services roles.
• Proven ability to meet close deadlines, manage multi‑entity structures, and ensure data accuracy.
• Strong analytical judgment and professionalism when interacting directly with client teams.
