Spanish Medical Interpreter (OPI) – Remote

About the role

Grupo Noa International is seeking a full‑time remote Spanish Medical Interpreter to facilitate over‑the‑phone communication between Spanish‑speaking patients and English‑speaking medical professionals. The interpreter will ensure accurate, confidential, and culturally appropriate exchanges while adhering to HIPAA and client protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to live medical conversations and provide real‑time interpretation between Spanish and English.
• Maintain the meaning, tone, and intent of all parties while using correct medical terminology.
• Document call outcomes when required and follow healthcare facility protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training to keep medical terminology and interpreting skills current.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Spanish–English medical interpretation, translation, and simultaneous interpretation.
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology in both languages.
• Excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension abilities with a neutral accent.
• High professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and strict adherence to confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Reliable internet connection, quiet remote workspace, and computer literacy for call‑center tools.
