Machine Learning Engineer – Remote (ML, NLP, LLM)

About the role

Join a global tech leader to design and deliver end‑to‑end machine‑learning, NLP, LLM and agentic AI solutions that solve real business problems. You will work with state‑of‑the‑art models, optimise inference, and ensure reliable production deployments at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑define ML, NLP and agentic AI solutions with product, engineering and data stakeholders, translating business objectives into measurable success metrics.
• Build data pipelines and feature‑engineering workflows for training, evaluation, batch scoring and online inference using Python, PySpark and Databricks.
• Develop, train, evaluate and maintain traditional ML models and NLP/LLM solutions including Transformers, embeddings, retrieval‑augmented generation and structured outputs.
• Design and implement agent workflows that connect LLMs with tools, APIs, retrieval systems and business rules, adding safety checks and observability.
• Package, deploy, monitor and retrain models on Databricks/MLflow and AWS, exposing reliable FastAPI services for real‑time, batch and asynchronous workloads.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience delivering end‑to‑end machine‑learning, NLP, LLM and agentic AI solutions from problem definition to production deployment.
• Deep expertise in NLP and large language models, including tokenization, embeddings, semantic search, RAG, function calling and hallucination mitigation.
• Hands‑on experience with traditional ML techniques such as classification, regression, ranking, forecasting, segmentation, anomaly detection and model explainability.
• Proven ability to design agentic AI workflows that integrate LLMs with external tools, APIs and retrieval systems, supporting multi‑step reasoning and human‑in‑the‑loop review.
• Strong production MLOps background with Databricks, MLflow and AWS, covering model packaging, CI/CD, monitoring, drift detection and cost optimisation.
