About the role

DHL is looking for a proactive Sales Executive to acquire new cargo customers for its air and sea freight services. The role focuses on consultative selling of value‑added logistics solutions, primarily in air cargo, and contributes to the growth of the company's gross profit.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new air and sea cargo customers, with a focus on air freight.
• Conduct consultative sales meetings offering value‑added logistics services.
• Maintain and develop gross profit and volume targets for both new and existing accounts.
• Manage business opportunities in the CRM, updating status on a weekly basis.
• Visit assigned customers (existing and prospective) and record visit details in the CRM.
• Review accepted offers before expiration and update terms as needed.
• Plan and execute sales campaigns aligned with the annual strategy (areas, countries, products, and services).
• Prepare onboarding information for new customers, including credit requests, tariff entry, and operational instructions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in forwarding or logistics companies.
• Experience with air and sea cargo customers is highly valued.
• Strong customer orientation, goal‑driven mindset, and ability to work towards targets.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good knowledge of logistics products such as air freight, sea freight, customs, and warehousing.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and willingness to travel occasionally.
