About the role

Gildan is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to support its Import & Export operations. The role involves safely moving containers within the yard and loading bays, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and traffic regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Safely perform all container placement movements in loading and unloading bays and organize containers on the yard.
• Transport full and empty containers between the yard and bays according to the established schedule.
• Conduct daily container inventory and report it to the Import/Export assistant.
• Clean and perform general checks on the tractor‑trailer, reporting any mechanical issues or incidents immediately.
• Request fuel refills when the tank reaches one‑quarter capacity.
• Inspect containers internally and externally for waste loading or empty‑container requests.
• Drive the truck in compliance with traffic laws, speed limits, and industrial safety standards.
• Assist the Import/Export assistant with opening and closing containers, including seal placement and removal.
• Follow the Safety and Health Management System procedures as outlined in document CAM‑HSN‑001.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma (Bachiller).
• At least 1 year of experience operating a tractor‑trailer.
• Category 7 driver’s license as required by local traffic law.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
