About the role

We are looking for a Regional Accounting Assistant to join SPC International’s Finance and Accounting team in Nicaragua. The role supports the consolidation of accounting information from multiple countries, ensuring data is complete, consistent and ready for review.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, filter and pre‑validate accounting packages from various regional operations.
• Support monthly closing processes and monitor compliance with deadlines and deliverables.
• Perform reconciliations of local financial statements against corporate reports.
• Identify and investigate differences related to accounts, cost centres, currencies, classifications or periods.
• Execute and follow up inter‑company reconciliations and obtain balance confirmations.
• Analyze account variances, document findings and assist with necessary reclassifications or adjustments.
• Review supporting documentation, approvals and ensure proper record‑keeping.
• Assist internal and external audit teams by preparing required information and evidence.
• Maintain communication with local accountants, external providers and internal support areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Public Accounting or a related field (mandatory).
• Proven experience in general accounting, financial statement preparation, account and bank reconciliations, month‑end closing and internal control documentation.
• Experience with inter‑company processes, multi‑currency environments and large volumes of data is a plus.
