Supervisor - Entrenamiento

About the role

The Training Supervisor will coordinate all training activities within the engineering department of a large apparel manufacturing operation. The role focuses on teaching correct sewing methods, ensuring quality, safety, and ergonomic practices while meeting learning curve targets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate training programs to teach proper sewing techniques, quality standards, and ergonomic methods.
• Work with the production coordinator to balance equipment and meet production goals.
• Lead cost‑saving and continuous‑improvement projects related to operational processes and sewing methods.
• Support the Engineering Manager with job mapping, certifications, and standardization of methods.
• Monitor equipment readiness, pre‑equipment, and critical operators through capacity studies.
• Prepare staffing requisitions based on turnover and expansion projects and coordinate recruitment resources.
• Ensure compliance of productivity engineers, instructors, supervisors, and operators with training standards.
• Manage performance accountability and KPI metrics for the plant’s training area.
• Document and follow up on open engineering action plans and provide support to other departments.
• Deliver and update induction talks, teamwork sessions, and safety briefings.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating training within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of sewing methods, quality control, and ergonomic safety.
• Proven ability to lead continuous‑improvement and cost‑reduction projects.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage staffing requisitions and KPI reporting.
• Ability to work closely with engineering, production, and safety teams.
