Accounts Receivable Analyst – Medical Billing Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Analyst with dedicated medical billing experience to optimize the healthcare revenue cycle. The role involves managing insurance aging reports, resolving complex denials, and ensuring maximum reimbursement from commercial and government payers.

Key responsibilities

• Denial Management – analyze, appeal, and resolve denied or underpaid medical insurance claims.
• A/R Follow‑Up – track outstanding claims using aging reports and contact payers directly for resolution.
• Payment Posting – review electronic remittance advice (ERAs) and explanations of benefits (EOBs) for accuracy.
• Revenue Metrics – monitor performance benchmarks, focusing on reducing overall days in A/R.
• Compliance – maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and medical coding guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in healthcare accounts receivable or medical billing.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong integrity, excellent mathematical abilities, and understanding of data‑privacy standards.
• Professional communication, proactive attitude, analytical mindset, and teamwork orientation.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, risk identification, and prioritization capabilities.

Required skills

• Medical billing knowledge and familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance guidelines.
• Proficiency with EHR/billing software such as Epic and eClinicalWorks.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Google Suite (Drive, Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience with Hubstaff, Zoom, and QuickBooks.
