Investment Officer

About the role

Oikocredit is seeking an Investment Officer to build and manage a portfolio of impactful investments that advance its social impact goals while meeting financial targets. The role combines portfolio management, market development, and risk oversight across financial inclusion and agriculture sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor a portfolio of investments in one or more countries, ensuring alignment with regional strategy and impact objectives.
• Identify social impact opportunities, design capacity‑building proposals, and collaborate with specialists to deliver measurable benefits to low‑income households.
• Represent Oikocredit at conferences, maintain local networks, conduct due diligence, and prepare investment proposals.
• Support deal closing, disbursement, and ongoing monitoring, including ESG and Environmental & Social Action Plans.
• Ensure compliance with KYC, due‑diligence, and impact‑risk assessment standards.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in finance, banking, economics, agricultural economics or economic development.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in investment management, preferably with a focus on financial inclusion, agriculture, ESG or impact investing.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
