Casetero/a Avícola

About the role

The Casetero/a Avícola is responsible for examining the physical characteristics of poultry to accurately determine gender. This position supports proper breeding and processing operations by ensuring birds are correctly identified.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fast, repetitive and precise examinations of poultry to identify gender with minimal guidance.
• Maintain technical certification for gender identification procedures.
• Lift and handle trays of birds safely, moving them as required.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, using personal protective equipment.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, climb stairs, kneel, squat and twist safely, with reasonable accommodation if needed.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 kg.
• Comfortable working in noisy, dusty or chemical environments.
• Primary education completed or higher.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays or varying shifts with prior notice.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 15 °C to 41 °C.
