Bilingual Front Desk & Insurance Specialist – Pediatrics (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a fluent bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Virtual Assistant to support a pediatric practice during Eastern Standard Time business hours. The role is fully remote and involves handling patient communications, scheduling, and insurance verification using eClinicalWorks.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound patient calls with a professional demeanor and manage the practice email inbox.
• Schedule, book, and coordinate patient appointments directly in eClinicalWorks.
• Perform real‑time insurance eligibility checks and verify coverage before appointments.
• Provide general front‑office administrative support as needed.

Required profile

• Native or fully fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience using eClinicalWorks.
• Prior experience as a medical receptionist or front‑desk staff in a U.S. healthcare setting, preferably pediatrics.
• Minimum 1 year of handling the full insurance verification cycle.

Required skills

• eClinicalWorks (eCW) – patient scheduling and EHR management.

What we offer

• Full‑time contractor role (40 hours/week) with a starting rate of $6 per hour.
• Standard EST schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm.
