B2B Marketing & Business Communications Consultant

About the role

IDB Invest is seeking a B2B Marketing & Business Communications professional to support the Business Planning team in positioning the institution across key industries. The consultant will enhance how IDB Invest communicates the value, innovation, and development impact of its portfolio to external audiences, clients, and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Support marketing and business communications activities that showcase IDB Invest’s transactions, events, and award‑worthy achievements.
• Produce tailored messaging for deals, highlighting financial innovation and development impact.
• Maintain an updated inventory of high‑profile awards, support award applications, track outcomes and build a knowledge base.
• Coordinate cross‑functional inputs from marketing, business, and communications teams for signings, closing ceremonies, and events.
• Plan, execute and monitor initiatives using marketing tools, content‑management platforms and stakeholder databases.
• Measure communication outcomes and provide insights to improve brand positioning in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B marketing, corporate communications, or related fields.
• Familiarity with development finance, private‑sector development, or similar sectors.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to craft clear, impact‑focused messages.
• Detail‑oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal business, marketing, and communications teams.
